Chairman and Founder

Ken graduated as a lawyer and has over 35 years of entrepreneurial experience in Canada and the US. After being elected as the youngest Director of United Trust at age 27, he went on to become President and CEO of Bramalea Ltd during its remarkable growth phase in the 1970s and 1980s.

He founded Commercial Alcohols (later renamed GreenField Ethanol) in 1989 and under his leadership, the company has grown to become the largest manufacturer and distributor of fuel ethanol, industrial alcohol and alcohol-related products in Canada.

In 2002, Ernst and Young honoured Ken with the Entrepreneur of the Year Award for Canada. He was named as one of the Financial Post’s “Hot 20” in their 2007 Climate Change Power List and is a member the Canadian Council of Chief Executives.
