Johnstown
Construction is underway on a 200 million litre plant in Johnstown, Ontario. The plant, to be situated near the Port of Prescott elevator, will produce fuel grade ethanol, carbon dioxide (CO2) and Dried Distillers Grains (DDGS) and is expected to be in production in 2008. The plant will use 20 million bushels of corn per year. The federal government contributed $15 million towards the construction of the Johnstown facility under the Ethanol Expansion Program.
