A graduate of the University of Toronto Law School (LLB, 1967), Barry was admitted to the Ontario Bar in 1969. On his call, he was awarded the Law Society Second Prize for Ontario and the Lawyers Club of Toronto Second Prize. Barry was appointed a Queen's Counsel in 1983. A member (partner) of Shibley Righton LLP since 1969, Barry currently allocates part of his time to his law firm practice and the other part to a special engagement with GreenField Ethanol.
