Barry has over 40 years of experience in litigation. He was admitted to the Ontario Bar in 1969 and joined Shibley Righton LLP where he is still a member (partner).

Since 2006, Barry has allocated part of his time to his law firm practice and the other part to a special engagement with GreenField.

On his call, he was awarded the Law Society Second Prize for Ontario and the Lawyers Club of Toronto Second Prize. Barry was appointed a Queen's Counsel in 1983.
